LG Red is the newest addition to our cold-climate lineup. The install process is similar to Mitsubishi mini-splits. Our crews like the built-in diagnostics — the system can flag issues before they become problems. The ThinQ app setup takes about 15 minutes post-install. We're seeing great performance in the field so far, especially the LGRED low-temperature capacity.
Fujitsu is our go-to recommendation when homeowners want Mitsubishi-level cold-climate performance at a better price. The XLTH line is purpose-built for extreme cold. Our crews find the install very similar to Mitsubishi. The outdoor units are noticeably quieter, which matters for homes with neighbors close by. Total install for a 3-zone system runs about 2 days.
