The LG Energy Solution RESU Prime 16H has 16 kWh of nameplate capacity and 14.4 kWh of usable capacity — the difference (1.6 kWh) is reserved for battery health and cannot be accessed during normal operation. The LG Energy Solution RESU Prime 16H uses NMC chemistry. NMC (Nickel Manganese Cobalt) offers higher energy density per kilogram than LFP but has lower safety margins and shorter cycle life.
