We use the information we collect to:

• Respond to your comments, questions, and customer service requests
• Communicate with you about products, services, offers, and events
• Monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities

How We Use Phone Communication Data

In addition to the general uses described above, we use phone communication data specifically to:

• Follow up on service inquiries you initiated through our website or other channels
• Qualify your project needs and schedule consultations with our energy advisors
• Provide quotes, estimates, and information about solar, heat pump, and battery storage services
• Conduct quality assurance reviews and compliance monitoring of AI and human agent interactions
• Train, improve, and maintain the performance and accuracy of our AI voice technology
• Comply with legal obligations, including TCPA recordkeeping and consent documentation requirements
• Resolve disputes and respond to complaints or legal claims

Information Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• With service providers who assist in our operations (installers, financing partners)
• With utility companies as required for grid connection and net metering
• To comply with legal obligations or protect our rights
• With your consent or at your direction
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention — Call Data

We retain phone communication data according to the following schedule:

• Call recordings (audio files): Retained for 90 days from the date of the call, then automatically and permanently deleted from our systems.
• Call transcripts: Retained as part of your customer record for as long as we maintain an active customer relationship, plus any additional period required by applicable law.
• Call metadata (date, time, duration, outcome): Retained as part of your customer record for the same period as transcripts.
• Consent records: Retained for a minimum of five (5) years from the date of consent or revocation, as required for TCPA compliance documentation.

You may request early deletion of call recordings and transcripts at any time by contacting us at privacy@nuwattenergy.com. Consent records may be retained as required by law even after other data is deleted.

ClimaIQ Mobile Application & Site Evaluation Data

When you use or interact with the ClimaIQ mobile application (used by our field representatives), the following data may be collected during a site evaluation:

• Property information: Address, square footage, year built, number of stories, foundation type, insulation levels, window types, and other building characteristics
• Photographs: Images of your home exterior, electrical panel, heating/cooling equipment nameplates, attic insulation, and proposed equipment locations
• 3D room measurements: LiDAR-captured room dimensions, wall areas, window counts, and floor plans using Apple's RoomPlan technology
• Equipment information: Current HVAC system manufacturer, model number, age, and specifications extracted via optical character recognition (OCR) from equipment nameplates
• Utility bill data: If you provide a utility bill for scanning, we extract usage (kWh), cost, rate, utility provider, and billing period. We only retain the last 4 digits of your account number.
• GPS location: Latitude and longitude of the property for climate data lookup and design purposes
• Voice recordings: If voice notes are captured during the evaluation, audio is stored locally on the device and may be transcribed using Apple's on-device speech recognition. Transcriptions are used solely for evaluation notes.
• Comfort preferences: Room-by-room comfort complaints (temperature, draft, noise, humidity feedback)

How we use this data: Site evaluation data is used exclusively to design your heat pump system, generate proposals, calculate savings estimates, apply for rebates on your behalf, and coordinate installation. We do not sell, rent, or share your site evaluation data with third parties except as necessary to provide our services (e.g., sharing equipment specifications with our installation contractors, submitting rebate applications to utility programs).

Data retention: Site evaluation data, photographs, and room measurements are retained for the duration of your project and for up to 3 years after project completion for warranty support and service records. You may request deletion of your evaluation data at any time by contacting privacy@nuwattenergy.com.

AI processing:Uploaded documents (utility bills, equipment nameplates) may be processed using OpenAI for data extraction. NuWatt Energy retains the extracted structured bill data, not the raw bill file after processing. Provider processing, security logging and retention are governed separately by the provider's policies and our service configuration; this is not a promise of zero retention by the provider.

ClimaIQ Light Homeowner App

ClimaIQ Light is a free app for invited NuWatt homeowners in the United States. It has no payments, in-app purchases or subscriptions. This section covers homeowner surveys, separately from the field-representative app described above.

Saved room measurements, room photographs, opening counts and notes are linked to your invited NuWatt project for advisor review and an early estimate. You may also choose to share home details, energy costs and electrical-service photos. These are not final engineering measurements. Saved work is held on your device and sent when a connection is available. Demo work stays on your device. The native app does not use advertising trackers or collect GPS location.

Optional bill reading:Before uploading a bill, ClimaIQ Light asks permission to send the entire selected photo or PDF to NuWatt and OpenAI to extract energy information. A bill may include your name, address and account number; cover information you do not want to share before choosing it. You can enter costs manually or skip this step. NuWatt saves only the energy details you confirm, including at most the last four account-number digits, and does not retain the uploaded bill file after processing. OpenAI's processing and retention policies apply to its handling of the uploaded file. See OpenAI's data controls. Room and electrical photos are not sent through this bill-reading service.

Survey information is part of your project record and follows the site-evaluation retention policy above. NuWatt and its service providers use it to provide and support your project, not to sell your information or track you for advertising. You can request access, correction, deletion or withdrawal of consent at privacy@nuwattenergy.com. Clearing local app data does not delete information already received by NuWatt. Contact NuWatt support for help with your invitation or survey.

Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

• Access, update, or delete your personal information
• Opt out of promotional communications
• Request a copy of your data
• Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

Additional Rights — Phone Communications

In addition to the general rights above, you have the following rights related to phone communications and AI voice interactions:

• Request a copy of any call transcript associated with your account
• Request deletion of call recordings before the 90-day automatic deletion period
• Opt out of future AI voice calls at any time (reply STOP to texts, tell the AI agent, call (877) 772-6357, or email team@nuwattenergy.com)
• Request transfer to a live human representative during any AI voice call
• Request to be placed on our internal Do-Not-Call list
• Revoke your Prior Express Written Consent (PEWC) for automated communications at any time
