In addition to offering residential and commercial solar installation services, NuWatt Energy advocates for energy efficiency, agrivoltaics, and solar power. Dr. Alawa’s leadership and innovation have helped position solar power as a clean and sustainable energy source that can benefit both consumers and the planet.

Maan Alawa

National Director of Sales & Operations

Maan began his successful journey as a solar consultant in 2017 and has now risen to serve as the National Director of Sales and Operations at NuWatt Energy. His proficiency in designing intricate solar systems, composing lengthy emails, and simplifying the complexities of solar energy is admirable. During his free time, Maan enjoys spending quality time with his wife and watching movies without any particular preference.

Adan Ascencio

Solar Energy Specialist

Adan was born in Mexico, but he grew up in the Midwest. He studied sociology and worked as an investment realtor in Miami for six years before relocating to New England during the pandemic. Adan is married and has three beautiful children. He has come to appreciate the importance of a good night’s sleep. Adan enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and, in his free time, he likes to learn programming and build furniture.

Fergus Cullen

Solar Energy Specialist

Fergus Cullen joined NuWatt Energy in 2014. He currently resides in New Hampshire with his wife and four children, who range in age from 2 to 19. In addition to his work at NuWatt, Fergus serves as a member of the Dover City Council. He has a wealth of professional experience spanning 25 years and is also an accomplished coach for high school cross-country and track & field teams. Furthermore, he has completed three rounds of hiking New Hampshire’s 4,000-footers.

Umar Farooq

Lead Engineer & Designer

Umar Farooq has been an exceptional member of the NuWatt Energy team, demonstrating a high level of dedication throughout his tenure. His extensive knowledge in Electrical Engineering has made him an expert in the fields of renewable energy, blockchain, and AI. In his leisure time, Umar enjoys spending quality time with his loved ones, a testament to his balanced and well-rounded nature.

Chris Spychalski

Energy Efficiency Specialist

Chris demonstrates a strong commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and exploring carbon storage solutions. He has taken the initiative to retrofit his 1989 residence to become Net Positive and Zero Carbon. As an expert in this area, Chris is pleased to offer his assistance to others seeking to achieve similar goals. To achieve our 2030 target, it is necessary to install approximately 800,000 heat pumps across Massachusetts.

Raj Patel

Solar Project Manager

Raj’s unwavering ardor for the solar industry and renewable energy propelled him to pursue a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Apart from his academic pursuits, he indulges in outdoor sports and relishes exploring new and unexplored terrains.

Madhukar Dadhich

Madhukar is a seasoned solar engineer with a Master’s degree in Renewable Energy Engineering. He has amassed over five years of invaluable experience in both corporate and engineering domains, with a particular focus on the development of photovoltaic (PV) systems. In his leisure hours, Dadhich indulges in road trips, hiking, and quality time with family and friends.
