A four-section commercial rooftop array on a mosque and cultural center in Roxbury, Boston.
Project brief
NuWatt completed a 103.74 kW solar project with 420 modules at Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center in Roxbury, Boston, MA, in 2012. The documented mounting system is PanelClaw Polar Bear FR Gen II, 10-degree ballasted. The project was delivered under a Third-party PPA structure.
Design response
Fit a large array around rooftop mechanical equipment without penetrating the TPO roof.
Divide the system into four ballasted sections and keep the distributed structural load within the stamped design range.
