“The Greenspeed pairs best with the Carrier Infinity air handler and Infinity thermostat for full variable-speed modulation. Our team typically recommends upgrading the thermostat at install to unlock all Greenspeed features. Plan 1–2 days for a complete system.”
— NuWatt Energy Install Team
A heat pump increases your electricity usage by 3,000–6,000 kWh per year. Offset that cost with solar panels and power your heating with free sunshine. NuWatt designs integrated solar + heat pump systems for maximum savings.
The Carrier Infinity Greenspeed costs between $6,500 and $14,000 fully installed by NuWatt Energy. The final price depends on your home’s size, the tonnage you need, and installation complexity. Note that the federal 25C heat pump tax credit expired at the end of 2025, so there is no federal credit available in 2026. However, state rebates and utility incentives may still apply.
The Carrier Infinity Greenspeed is available in 4 sizes from 2 to 5 ton. A general guideline is 1 ton per 500–600 square feet, but proper sizing depends on your home’s insulation, climate zone, and layout. NuWatt performs a Manual J load calculation during your free consultation to determine the exact size.
Yes. The Carrier Infinity Greenspeed is rated to operate down to -15°F, making it a strong choice for New England winters. At 5°F, it maintains a COP of 2.1, meaning it produces 210% more heat energy than the electricity it consumes. Supplemental heat strips may still be needed during the very coldest hours.
The Carrier Infinity Greenspeed comes with a 10-year compressor warranty and a 5-year parts warranty. NuWatt also provides our own workmanship warranty covering installation labor. Be sure to register your product with Carrier within 90 days of installation to activate the full warranty.
The Carrier Infinity Greenspeed has an HSPF2 of 11.5 (heating) and SEER2 of 20 (cooling). For context, the minimum federal standard is 7.5 HSPF2 and 14.3 SEER2, so this unit is 53% more efficient for heating and 40% more efficient for cooling than the baseline. Higher efficiency means lower monthly energy bills.
The outdoor unit operates at 52 dB, which is similar to a quiet conversation and well below typical neighborhood noise. For comparison, the quietest unit in our lineup is 49 dB (Fujitsu Halcyon) and the loudest is 60 dB (Goodman GSZC18).
