One of the highest municipal solar rebates in MA. Full retail net metering available for systems up to 25 kW. Up to 50% of total installed costs (excluding tax). RS-1 Residential Service customers.
Maximum: $8,500 (with fossil fuel decommission) / $6,500 (without)
Among the highest heat pump rebates in MA. $8,500 with fossil fuel system decommission, $6,500 without. Whole-home sizing required. 90-120% of home heating load coverage required. One rebate per account. Effective Jan 1, 2026.

Partial-home heat pump rebate based on cooling capacity. Up to two rebates per account (lifetime cap $6,500).
Maximum: $2,500
NEW for 2026. For new additions <500 sq ft, previously unconditioned spaces, or replacing existing heat pumps. One rebate per account annually.

Net excess generation credited at WHOLESALE supply rate under Schedule SP-1 for systems ≤15 kW AC (NOT full retail). Existing customers prior to Jan 4, 2025 may have legacy retail-credit terms. Effective Jan 1, 2026.

Auto-enrolled 4% surcharge funds WMLP's 4.99 MW / 20 MWh community battery, projected to save residents ~$8M over 20 years. Customers may opt out.
