Propel is currently available in select states
The federal residential solar tax credit (Section 25D) expired on December 31, 2025. That means if you buy solar with cash or a loan, you get $0 back from the IRS. But there's a workaround — and it's called Propel.
Same $30,000 system — two very different outcomes
Think of it as solar with training wheels. Someone else handles the tax credits and maintenance for the first 5 years, then you take over with full ownership.
You sign a Prepaid Energy Services Agreement (ESA) and a 25-year loan with Concert Finance. The loan covers everything — the ESA and the early buyout price. One fixed monthly payment, no dealer fees, and no prepayment penalty. Ownership transfers to you at year 5.
A third-party owner holds the system for the first 5 years and claims the Section 48/48E commercial tax credit. That credit reduces the overall cost of the system, which is passed through to you as a lower monthly payment. You don't need to file anything — the savings are already built into your fixed payment.
Three parties, one goal: lower payments for you

From install to full ownership in 4 simple steps
Solar goes on your roof. You start saving on your electric bill immediately. $0 out of pocket.
A third-party owner holds the system and captures the 30-40% federal tax credit. You get performance guarantees, free monitoring, and maintenance included.
The Early Buyout Option (EBO) is exercised automatically. Ownership transfers to you at a pre-set price built into your loan. You now own a solar asset that adds value to your home.
You own the system and keep every dollar of savings. Continue paying the same low monthly loan payment — or pay it off early with no penalty.
All loans are 25-year terms with 0% dealer fees. Get an extra 0.50% off with autopay (ACH).
