Evaluate mixed vehicle connector needs and overnight dwell times. The integrated adapter is useful only where the vehicle and charging configuration are compatible.
Decide whether charging is a free amenity or paid service. Commercial setup, reliable connectivity and operating responsibility belong in the project scope.
Plan for connector access, cable reach and shared power. Compare driver demand with available electrical capacity instead of assuming full output at every port.

Section 30C is unavailable for property placed in service after June 30, 2026. For qualifying property placed in service from January 1, 2023 through that date, the residential credit was 30% with a $1,000 limit per item at a main home. The business credit was 6%, or 30% when applicable prevailing-wage and apprenticeship requirements were met, with a $100,000 limit per item. Eligible location and other requirements still apply. The IRS defines an item as each charging port, fuel dispenser or storage property—not automatically an entire cabinet or household. Confirm historical eligibility and cost allocation with a tax adviser before filing Form 8911. Do not assume state or utility funding is available for a particular model or site.
