Evaluate daily driving needs, parking position and the available electrical capacity. Adjustable current does not by itself eliminate the need for a load assessment.
For an employer-supported home installation, establish reimbursement and data requirements separately. Do not assume public ChargePoint station features are included.
A private assigned stall may have different needs from a shared commercial station. Confirm permitted use and choose purpose-built commercial equipment when billing or administrator controls are required.

Request a written scope identifying the charger SKU, configured current, wiring distance, included approvals and any exclusions. No NuWatt installation-history dataset is used to establish a price on this page.
Section 30C is unavailable for property placed in service after June 30, 2026. For qualifying property placed in service from January 1, 2023 through that date, the residential credit was 30% with a $1,000 limit per item at a main home. The business credit was 6%, or 30% when applicable prevailing-wage and apprenticeship requirements were met, with a $100,000 limit per item. Eligible location and other requirements still apply. The IRS defines an item as each charging port, fuel dispenser or storage property—not automatically an entire cabinet or household. Confirm historical eligibility and cost allocation with a tax adviser before filing Form 8911. Do not assume state or utility funding is available for a particular model or site.
