IQ EV Charger is a residential AC charging family with different output and connector configurations. Confirm the model generation and compatible Enphase equipment before relying on solar-aware charging or other home-energy features.

Review existing monitoring and compatible system components before choosing solar-aware operation. Charging economics depend on actual tariffs, export value and vehicle availability.
Ask the installer to document supported operating modes and system dependencies. Do not treat a conventional AC charger as vehicle-to-home or bidirectional equipment.
Select output and connector using vehicle capability and the electrical assessment. One home app is not evidence of managed workplace or tenant billing features.

Request separate prices for charger installation and any monitoring or energy-system changes. Confirm the supported operating modes in writing; no bundled savings or zero-cost commissioning is promised.
Section 30C is unavailable for property placed in service after June 30, 2026. For qualifying property placed in service from January 1, 2023 through that date, the residential credit was 30% with a $1,000 limit per item at a main home. The business credit was 6%, or 30% when applicable prevailing-wage and apprenticeship requirements were met, with a $100,000 limit per item. Eligible location and other requirements still apply. The IRS defines an item as each charging port, fuel dispenser or storage property—not automatically an entire cabinet or household. Confirm historical eligibility and cost allocation with a tax adviser before filing Form 8911. Do not assume state or utility funding is available for a particular model or site.
