Grocery, big-box, quick-service restaurants, and hotels where parking stalls are tight and a full-size DCFC cabinet would eat two spots. PKM150 fits in one stall’s worth of pad.
Smaller bus fleets (paratransit, shuttle, airport transfer) where 150 kW top-off between runs is sufficient and dwell time covers the charge window.
Urban infill sites where the civil scope (pad, bollards, signage) would otherwise blow past the hardware budget. Smaller pad = cheaper civil = better project economics.
| Line item | Typical range |
|---|---|
| Hardware (150 kW, dual CCS1) | $45,000 – $58,000 |
| Switchgear + panel/service entrance upgrades | $15,000 – $40,000 |
| Concrete pad + bollards | $5,000 – $10,000 |
| Trenching, conduit, conductor runs | $8,000 – $25,000 |
| Network commissioning, Pulse activation | $2,000 – $5,000 |
| Permits, utility coordination, signage | $3,000 – $8,000 |
| All-in installed total / site | $90,000 – $150,000 |
Retail and hospitality sites typically land at the lower end when panel capacity exists. Multi-unit deployments at a single site benefit from shared switchgear and trenching.
Section 30C commercial credit covers 6% of cost (or 30% with prevailing wage + apprenticeship), capped at $100,000 per item, when the PKM150 is installed at a property in an IRS-designated low-income or non-urban census tract. At PKM150 price points, the credit rarely hits the cap — the 30% PWA bracket is especially attractive here. Must be placed in service by June 30, 2026.
